FOR RELEASE: On Receipt April 3, 2008
Sunday at Buckland Farm
Del. Bob Marshall (R., Manassas), candidate for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate, will hold his campaign’s first fund-raising event on Sunday at historic Buckland Farm, 6342 Pleasant Colony Lane, near Warrenton.
The event, a reception, will be hosted by David W. Blake, owner of Buckland Farm, from 3 to 7 p.m.
The 580-acre thoroughbred horse farm lies in Prince William and Fauquier Counties. Its colonial-era centerpiece is Buckland Hall, which was built about 1774 and served as the cornerstone for development of the Town of Buckland.
Pleasant Colony, winner of the 1981 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, was raised at Buckland Farm.
